| Dale Hartung General Manager"I like leading rather than following"... Full bio Dale HartungGeneral ManagerDale came to CTE in 2006. With the experience and skill of working in the truck dealership industry and an interest in pursuing the many challenges in the wrecker business he was a perfect fit. He loves the diversity of our customer base – the passion owner operators have for what they do and how their trucks look, the dedication of small towing business owners and the business acumen of the larger towing companies.
Dale’s varied responsibilities include working with sales staff to provide the high quality trucks our customers deserve, sourcing the parts that customers need and maintaining the online "Parts to Tow" store. Basically doing whatever HM puts on his plate, no matter what aspect of the company it involves.
A friendly, easy going manner is one of the many assets Dale brings to CTE. No matter the problem, he finds a solution and gets onto the next task, no harm, no foul. In July, 2009 Dale was proud to be involved with the launch of CTE’s first online parts website, followed by the “Parts to Tow” fully integrated online store.
While the recent economic climate has forced some customers to keep their trucks longer than they used to Dale sees it a testament to what we do. We build great trucks, trucks that last, and Dale’s contribution to this legacy is invaluable.
The 2010 Road Show lead by Dale went to 13 cities in Ontario

| Wayne Humphrey Production ManagerWayne joined Canadian Towing Equipment in 1992 with an intention to lend a hand building a couple of tow trucks as long time friend Harold Markle opened his new business. Full bio Wayne HumphreyProduction ManagerOne truck lead to another, and another, and nearly twenty years later Wayne manages all service inquires, develops and maintains truck build and production procedures, collects NSM/CMVSS data, truck and parts warranties, scrub new deals to ensure compatibility, makes assignments and most of all ensures that customer expectations are met.
When Wayne first started at CTE many of the tow trucks were sold as a bare bones trucks, and as the industry has grown to demand specialized units Wayne’s keen problem solving skills have helped to make CTE pack leader in the custom wrecker biz. He loves the challenges CTE faces every year with new vehicle models and wrecker models coming out, and is unafraid of rethinking the way things are done to meet the demands of this constantly changing industry. It’s a good day for Wayne when he sees a finished tow truck and a customer pleased with his new unit. It’s a great day when that customer tells Wayne that working with CTE has been a pleasure.
