Provincial Towing Association (Ontario)
The Provincial Towing Association (Ontario) Inc. was an offshoot of the old Ontario Towing and Recovery Association. The Provincial Towing Association (Ontario) Inc., (PTAO) was incorporated in 1998 and was run by a group of dedicated but busy volunteers. To their credit the ensuing Board of Directors managed to keep the Tow Shows going and get involved in some of the issues that confronted the industry as they became concerns.
Ontario Recovery Group
The Ontario Recovery Group was established 1981 by a group of individual professionals engaged in the Heavy Duty Towing and Recovery Industry. The mission of the group was to develop and promote professional standards and enhance the image of the industry. In the fall of 1988 the Ontario Recovery Group became incorporated and hence ORG Inc was formed.
Canadian Transportation Equipment Association
The Canadian Transportation Equipment Association was created as the Canadian Truck Body Equipment Association (CTBEA) in 1963 in London Ontario. A few years later we adopted our current name. Up until 1990 the organization was run by volunteers. In 1991 the first employee was hired. Our current membership is at 500+.
Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association
The Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association has been the voice of the auto recycling industry in Ontario since 1992. OARA has kept Auto Recyclers informed and involved with input and information into current industry trends and government legislative initiatives that affect auto recyclers.
International Towing Museum
Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the museum started as an idea more than 20 years ago when the Friends of Towing, a group of dedicated professionals, decided to recognize outstanding individuals in the towing and recovery industry worldwide, record the history of the industry, collect and display industry artifacts and memorabilia through a museum, and provide information about the industry to the general public.
